Construction
The leather part of the bolo tie was braided. The metal parts of the bolo tie were cast, forged, hammered, stamped, and soldered.

Condition
The bolo tie is in very good condition- it has a missing piece (a sphere that should be attached to the bottom of one of the aglets) and minor tarnishing.

2022 Cat: The back of the bison head has "RYYYY LS" written in purple ink. It also appears to have had maybe 3 more "S'" following the 1st but has faded. The back of the clasp has "BENNET PAT. PEND" stamped on the back. A website I found had further information. According to the website, "this name refers to a person who designed and manufactured the first locking bolo slide clip in the mid-1950s and the slides carried this stamp." Originally the stamp also had "C-31" at the end but that disappeared by the mid-1960s. This places the date for this piece to be post mid-1960s.
